Archival Chronicle & Legacy
The three-day retrospective presented a comprehensive chronological journey through Tanvir Mokammel's monumental non-fiction filmography. As one of South Asia's most distinguished documentary practitioners, Tanvir Mokammel has unflinchingly documented liberation struggles, religious pluralism, marginalized cultures, environmental crises, and subcontinental history throughout his three-decade career.
From the historic struggles of working-class garment workers to the oral history of 1971 survivors, the displacement of indigenous peoples in the Chittagong Hill Tracts, and the lingering scars of the 1947 Bengal Partition, the festival served as an enduring archive of human resilience and moral witness.
